Our normal prices are:
6 yard skip @ £145 + VAT
8 yard skip @ £176 + VAT
12 yard skip @ £240 + VAT

Skip Sizes

Skip sizes are provided for general guidance and some skip dimensions may vary dependant on the manufacturer. 6 yard skip: 3.2m long by 1.9m wide
8 yard skip: 3.8m long by 1.9m wide
12yard skip 3.8m long by 1.9m wide

Skip Hire General Guidance

The lorry delivering the skip is approximately 7m long and 3m wide. Allowance should be made for manoeuvring into position.

If the skip is to be delivered to a domestic property consideration should be given to the construction quality of the driveway. Some driveways may not be designed to with stand a commercial vehicle especially when the full skip is being collected.

The hire period for a skip is 7 – 10 days. We will generally wait for your call to collect the skip and collection will normally be made within a couple of days. Hire periods can be extended if required with a nominal daily rate being applied.

Placing a skip on the highway

If a skip is to be placed on the road a permit will be required which we are happy to arrange for you. Permits are issued by the local Highways department and generally take 3 days to be approved.

The cost of a permit to place a skip on the highway is £25.00 plus VAT and lasts for 14 days. Permits can be extended on a 2 weekly basis. Warning cones and lighting are included in this price.

What can you place in a skip ?

There are several types of material that are not permitted to be placed into skips without written consent, these include:

Asbestos – Tyres – Batteries – Oil – Fridges – Freezers – Food waste – Animal waste - Gas Bottles – Televisions – Paint. This is not an exhaustive list, if you require any further information we will be happy to offer advice

Hazardous Waste

Asbestos is a hazardous material requiring special considertion before removal. We are happy to offer advice and guidance regarding Hazardous Waste.

Asbestos is priced per tonne with a 1tonne minimum. There will be a small charge for the disposable protective equipment needed, and for administration, which is paid by the Landfill Site to the Environment Agency. Haulage is charged seperately to give you a clear picture of each cost.

Asbestos Guidance

Step 1. Register your site as a Hazardous Waste Producing Site with the Environment Agency. You will receive a site Code in the form of three letters and three numbers i.e. ABC123

Step 2. We can produce the forms needed to accompany the load in transit.

Step 3. A skip can now be delivered to your site.

Step 4. We will need at least 24 hours notice before we can collect the skip.

The information we will need from you includes, the Site Code, your full Trading or Home address and the full address of the site where the material is to be removed from.
